A lawyer's letter may notify the termination of the contract. If the other party is notified to terminate the contract by a lawyer's letter, it shall be terminated upon the arrival of the notice. If the laws and administrative regulations stipulate that the termination of the contract should go through the formalities of approval and registration, it cannot be notified by a lawyer's letter. If the other party disagrees, it may request a people's court or an arbitration institution to confirm the validity of the termination of the contract.

According to Article 562 of the Civil Code of People's Republic of China (PRC), which came into effect on 202 1 1, the parties may terminate the contract through consultation. The parties may agree on the reasons for one party to terminate the contract. When the reasons for the termination of the contract arise, the creditor may terminate the contract.
