In 2023, our school will recruit more than 1,600 graduate students in various majors (including tuition-free students, part-time candidates and candidates for the "Retired College Student Soldiers" special program). The enrollment number is for reference only and will be adjusted appropriately according to the final enrollment plan issued by the Ministry of Education, combined with the student situation and development needs.
Northwestern University of Political Science and Law is a multidisciplinary university located in Xi'an, a world-famous historical and cultural city. The school is a legal research center in northwest China and an important base for humanities and social science research. It has the right to award doctoral degrees. The school’s predecessor was the Northern Shaanxi Public School founded by the Chinese Producers Party in Yan’an in 1937. Later there were Yan'an University, Northwest Political and Legal Cadre School, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Northwest University of Political Science and Law and other periods.
The school currently has 19 colleges, including the School of Philosophy and Social Development, the School of Economics, the School of Business, the School of Criminal Law, the School of Civil and Commercial Law, the School of Economic Law (Intellectual Property), the School of Administrative Law, and the School of International Law.
