Wuhan Intermediate People's Court has set up 15 business courts (bureaus) for cases, criminal, civil, intellectual property rights, administration, supervision and execution, and comprehensive functional departments such as offices, political departments and administrative offices, which are mainly responsible for major criminal cases in which the intermediate people's court may be sentenced to death, suspended death sentence and life imprisonment according to law, criminal cases endangering national security, foreign-related criminal cases and civil and commercial cases, and appeal cases after the first instance of the basic court.
