What was the verdict of Jiujiang Bridge case?

Guangzhou court suspended the trial of Jiujiang Bridge Broken Bridge Claim.

Criminal cases involving six responsible persons have not yet been decided.

Yesterday, both parties to the Jiujiang Bridge Broken Case received a civil ruling from the Guangzhou Maritime Court: the case has been ruled to suspend the trial.

Highlights of several meetings:

Did the ship break when it hit the bridge, or did the bridge break and crush the ship?

"Before the bridge was damaged, the use of Pier 24 was suspended."

On June 5, 2008, the case of Jiujiang Bridge Broken was first heard in Guangzhou Maritime Court. The owner of Jiujiang Bridge of Guangdong Fokai Expressway Co., Ltd. had a heated argument with the owner and operator of Nanguiji 035, the defendant's accident ship. On June 6th, 2008, Jiujiang Bridge was broken. Did the ship hit the bridge or was it broken?

On February 25th, 2008, at 65438, Guangzhou Haizhu District Procuratorate sent a letter to Guangzhou Maritime Court, suggesting that the case be terminated. The reason is that the six persons responsible for the capsizing accident of Jiujiang Bridge have been transferred to the Haizhu District Procuratorate of Guangzhou for review and prosecution. As the trial of this criminal case is related to the claim of Jiujiang Bridge toll, the criminal responsibility of six responsible persons may affect the trial of Jiujiang Bridge claim. It is understood that civil cases that are generally suspended need to be resumed after the judgment of relevant criminal cases.

On June 4, 2009, the case was reopened, and the shipowner's lawyer once again made a surprising statement, saying that "Pier 24 had stopped working before the bridge was broken".

On October 5th, 65438/KLOC-0, Guangzhou Maritime Court made a civil ruling to suspend the trial of the claim for the broken bridge of Jiujiang Bridge, which was delivered to both parties yesterday.

It is reported that six people, including Shi Guide, the captain involved in the Jiujiang Bridge accident, were criminally detained by the Guangdong Maritime Public Security Bureau within a few days after the accident. On August 2, 2007, Shi Guide was arrested by Haizhu District Procuratorate on suspicion of traffic accident. On June 3, 2008, Shi Guide was transferred to Guangzhou Haizhu District Procuratorate for review and prosecution. On February 5, 2008 and June 5, 2008, after being released on bail pending trial, Shi Guide appeared in the maritime court to testify in a civil case. (Reporter Lian Qing, Lin) Source: Guangzhou Daily
