Kidnapping both men and women constitutes the crime of kidnapping.
1. The crime of kidnapping refers to the act of kidnapping others by violence, coercion or other means, or kidnapping others as hostages for the purpose of extorting property or other purposes.
2. If the perpetrator commits a minor crime, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than five years but not more than ten years, and shall also be fined.
3. If the perpetrator abducts the victim and kills the victim or intentionally hurts the victim, he shall be sentenced to life imprisonment or death, and his property shall be confiscated.

Article 239 of the Criminal Law
