Some people say that Kunyi's success is largely due to its clear and precise positioning:
Just a lawsuit,
Just for defense,
Only do complicated litigation for the defendant.
On the other hand, there are also law firms in China that mainly focus on commercial litigation, but they are not subdivided to serve only defendants, and the highlight of Kun Yi's positioning is to only do defendant litigation.
I don't know why Kun Yi chose to serve the defendant instead of the plaintiff, and I don't know whether choosing the defendant is easier to succeed than choosing the plaintiff, but I know that it is also a commercial lawsuit, and the thinking mode representing the plaintiff and the defendant is completely different.
Although Kunyi is a commercial litigation law firm, its successful positioning is also of reference value to professional law firms or lawyers engaged in criminal business.
Some people choose to be criminal lawyers. They not only defend defendants in court, but also represent victims from time to time. They are also keen on developing criminal compliance non-litigation business, and they think they are very professional and dedicated.
In fact, in criminal proceedings, the focus, working mode, thinking mode and achievement display of victim agency and criminal compliance are quite different from those of the defendant. Therefore, an excellent public prosecutor may not be an excellent defense lawyer. Similarly, an excellent criminal defense lawyer may not be competent as the agent or accuser of the victim, let alone do a good job in criminal compliance non-litigation business.
Many lawyers choose the criminal field as their professional direction, largely because they like and are good at defense thinking. In this case, even if the procuratorial business and compliance business can make money, they should not be distracted by things they don't like or are not good at.
"only litigation,
Only criminal proceedings,
Just defending the defendant in criminal proceedings,
Defend the defendant only in major criminal cases. "
This is my inspiration from Kun Yi's position as a criminal defense lawyer.
It's hard to choose, and it's even harder to persist, because no one knows which way is easier to succeed.
Perhaps Frost's poem The Road Not Taken will give us more enlightenment on how to choose.
Unselected road
There are two roads in the yellow forest.
Unfortunately, I can't choose both at the same time.
I stood for a long time during the journey.
Watch one of them.
Until it winds its way into the distant Woods.
I naturally chose another one,
Maybe more attractive.
Because it is full of thorns and needs to be explored;
However, such a brush-off
Didn't cause much change.
Early that morning, the two paths lay quietly together.
Among the leaves that no one has stepped on
Oh, I left another way for tomorrow!
Knowing that roads are connected with roads,
I don't know if I should turn back.
I will sigh gently and describe all this.
Many, many years later:
There are two roads in the Woods, and I-
I chose the one with fewer pedestrians.
It changed my life.
