Two. Introduction to the Central Judicial Police College The Central Judicial Police College is the only ordinary police college directly under the Ministry of Justice, located in Baoding, a famous historical and cultural city in Hebei Province. The campus is a garden-style unit in Hebei Province, with lush trees, lush green grass and elegant environment. The school was founded in 1956, formerly known as the reform-through-labour cadre school of the Ministry of Public Security, and 1983 was placed under the management of the Ministry of Justice. 1985, the central cadre college of reeducation through labor was established. 1995 changed its name to Central Judicial Police Officer Education College. 1999 began to bid for the establishment of ordinary colleges and universities. In 2002, the Central Judicial Police College was formally established. As the highest institution of higher learning and leading institution of criminal justice in China, the school is a training base for reserve talents, leading cadres and senior police officers in the judicial administrative system, a research and innovation base for judicial administrative theory, and is known as the "cradle of judicial police officers" in China.
The school covers an area of 295,000 square meters, with total fixed assets of about 460 million yuan. As of March 20 18, the school has 468 teaching and administrative staff and 3 17 full-time teachers, including 102 with full-time senior title qualification, 109 with associate senior title qualification, and 12 experts enjoying special allowance from the State Council. At present, there are 6,264 students (including 5,924 undergraduates, Master of Laws 129, and 2 1 1 05 adult correspondence students). At the same time, in order to implement the central government's policy of "aiding Xinjiang through education" and support the development of education in the central and western regions, the school has jointly run a school with Xinjiang Judicial Police School since 20 15, and enrolled184 junior college students.
At present, the school has 12 teaching units, 7 research institutions, 19 party and government organs, including Prison Science College, Law School, Correctional Education Department, Information Management Department, Police Management Department, Basic Courses Teaching and Research Section, Marxism-Leninism Teaching and Research Section, Police Sports Teaching and Research Section, Continuing Education Department, Training Department, Graduate Education Department and Modern Education Technology Center. The school library has a collection of 847,000 books, and has the only prison drug rehabilitation literature information center and lawyer literature information center in China. It has 16 key laboratories of the Ministry of Justice-modern correction technology laboratory, drug rehabilitation technology laboratory and judicial information security laboratory, and has established 40 teaching, scientific research and practice bases in judicial administrative organs across the country.
With the advantages of prison science and corrective pedagogy, the school has built a discipline system in which law, management, pedagogy and sociology permeate and develop in harmony, among which prison science has been built as a key discipline of the Ministry of Justice, and corrective pedagogy has been approved as a key construction discipline at the ministerial level by the Ministry of Justice. Criminal law was approved as a key discipline in Hebei Province, and prison science and administration (the direction of police management) was approved as a characteristic specialty construction point in colleges and universities by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. At present, the school offers 19 undergraduate majors and professional directions such as prison science, law, investigation (direction of prison investigation), law (direction of corrective education), administrative management (direction of police management), information management and information system.
