Baotou Intermediate People's Court sentenced the defendant Wang Hailong to life imprisonment for intentional homicide.

The public prosecutor accused the defendant, his wife and friends of arguing with the victim when they persuaded a drunken friend to return to the private room while drinking in a private room of Wulan Hutong Bar on Longjiang Road in Qingshan District at about 2 1 o on May 25th this year, and then they had a tearing fight with Peng and his friend Zhu. During the fight, Peng Chengcheng took out a fruit knife holder from the bar and put it around Wang Hailong's neck until Wang Hailong fell to the ground. Under everyone's persuasion, Peng dropped his knife and was persuaded out of the bar. Wang Hailong picked up Peng Chengcheng's fruit knife, chased it out of the bar and stabbed Peng Chengcheng. When Zhu saw this scene, he fought and was stabbed. Wang Hailong then stabbed Peng Chengcheng several times. Wang Hailong dropped his knife and fled the scene with his friends. He died on the way to the hospital, and Zhu was stabbed to form a hemopneumothorax. At 4 o'clock in the morning on May 26th, public security personnel arrested the defendant Wang Hailong in Donghe District.

The public prosecution agency believes that the defendant Wang Hailong ignored the national law, quarreled with the victim after drinking, and could not treat it correctly. Instead, he stabbed one person with a knife, causing one death and one minor injury. Therefore, he should be investigated for criminal responsibility for intentional homicide.

After the verdict was pronounced in the first instance, Wang Hailong refused to accept it, arguing that he had no motive or direct intention to kill. Appeal in court.
