The second is punishment, which is exile to the other side of the river. Regarding the word "go", "Shuowen Jiezi" says: "When people go out, they go and rebel." To go means to punish evil and promote good. Obviously, law is originally related to law, but why do we use lawyers instead of wizards now?
In Buddhism, those who are proficient in Buddhism are called Dharma Masters, those who are proficient in the Sutras are called scribes, those who are proficient in the Dharma are called lawyers, those who are proficient in the Dharma are called commentators, and those who are proficient in the Sutras are called Tripitaka Masters . It can be seen that master is a term in Buddhism, which is far different from the meaning of lawyer.
"Dharma" is originally melody. Only according to the melody can music be harmonious. Later, law came to mean rules and order. "Shuowen Jiezi" says: "The law is evenly distributed." What is cloth? Clothmaker, "all differences in the world are unified", that is, standardizing the world into a unified pattern.
As we all know, the ancient Roman Empire inherited ancient Greek culture. However, the Roman Empire made a huge contribution to law, which was a peak in the history of world legal development. Lawyers originated in ancient Rome and referred to people who were proficient in the law and defended people. The first time the Chinese used the word "lawyer" in the modern sense was when the Qing Criminal and Civil Procedure Law was drafted in the late Qing Dynasty. As for why the word mage is not used, I think one is to avoid ambiguity, and the other is that law and law are synonyms. Law and law are synonymous in the legal sense. Shang Yang changed the word "法" ??in "Legal Classics" to "法". Since then, "法" has been used as the name of the criminal code for conviction and sentencing, such as the "Da Ming Law". In Buddhism, "Dharma" mostly means "discipline", and lawyers are people who interpret "Dharma".
There may be another reason for using the word lawyer. The English for law is law, and the English for lawyer is lawyer. Translating lawyer into lawyer also reflects the differences between Eastern and Western cultural traditions. "Law" reflects respect for a contracting party and highlights justice and equality, while "law" expresses the norms and constraints of the subject of power on the applicable objects. It is related to the fact that China has been a centralized country since ancient times. The government rules the civilians with power and has no contractual ideological basis for transferring rights to the government. Therefore, we can only use the concept of law rather than the concept of usage to understand and understand Western legal systems and behaviors. We can also explain from this perspective why lawyers are used instead of wizards.
The word "judge" in Chinese only retains the word "law", which embodies the spirit of Western law. But the judge refers to the person who convicts the person according to law, not the person who defends the client, which has a completely different meaning.
