Guangdong University of Foreign Studies Law School:

The Law School consists of Law Department, Foreign Affairs Department, International Politics Department, International Studies Institute, WTO Law Institute, Education Legal System Institute, NGO Institute and EU Law and Diplomacy Research Office. There are three master majors in international law, civil and commercial law and international relations, and the undergraduate majors are law, diplomacy and international politics. There are 50 faculty members in the law school, including professor 13, associate professor 13 and lecturer 14. Among teachers, the rate of doctoral degree is 36%, and the rate of master's degree or above is 94%. A team of teachers with professors as the leader, doctors and associate professors as the backbone and young teachers as the main force has been formed, and more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects have been completed. Besides, most law teachers are qualified as lawyers or arbitrators, and they have rich practical experience. The law school has also hired many well-known legal and diplomatic experts as visiting professors. At present, the college has 1400 undergraduate and graduate students.

Law school pays attention to integrating theory with practice, adopts advanced teaching materials and teaching methods at home and abroad, and focuses on cultivating students' ability to analyze and solve problems, so as to make students become compound talents with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique and beauty, professional knowledge in law, diplomacy or international politics and foreign language advantages.

In 2005, the employment rate of law school graduates was as high as 99%, except for some who went abroad to study and were admitted to the master's degree in China. Employment units are mainly government departments, law firms, multinational companies and foreign trade companies.

Approved and funded by the Provincial Department of Education, the Law School has established off-campus practice bases in the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Provincial People's Government, Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court, Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court, Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office, Dongguan Foreign Affairs Office, Guangzhou Baiyun District People's Procuratorate, Guangzhou Baiyun District People's Court, Guangzhou Haizhu District People's Court, Guangdong Hengyi Law Firm and other units. According to the teaching plan, law school students arrange internships in the above units.
