Can a lawyer take a trainee lawyer to see the client?

Of course. According to Article 55 of the Lawyers Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and Article 23 of the Rules for the Administration of Internship of Lawyer Applicants, interns are not allowed to undertake lawyer business alone, sign agency agreements or legal advisory agreements in the name of lawyers, or issue legal documents to the outside world.
