Only after the divorce did I find out that the other party had bigamy. Can I sue?
Bigamy is a criminal case of private prosecution. According to the provisions of Articles 186 and 188 of the Supreme Court's Interpretation on Several Issues Concerning the Execution of the Criminal Procedure Law, in order to be accepted by the court and not rejected, the case of bigamy must be: 1, and the victim shall inform the court; 2, there are clear defendants, specific claims and evidence that can prove the facts of the crime; 3. The crime has not exceeded the limitation period of prosecution (for bigamy cases, Article 258 of the Criminal Law stipulates that the maximum penalty is two years' imprisonment, so the limitation period of prosecution for this crime is two years); The defendant can't be unaccounted for. Therefore, if it is found that the divorce time is less than two years, it is ok to sue quickly. If it is more than two years, it may be difficult.
