Can I get a refund after I’ve paid the attorney fees and haven’t started yet?

According to the regulations, in principle, there is no refund, and not all those who can be refunded will be refunded.

1. If the attorney fees you pay are appeal fees, you will no longer appeal. Whether attorney fees can be refunded and how much can be refunded depends on the contract. If there is a stipulation in the contract, it shall be handled in accordance with the stipulation.

2. If there is no agreement in the contract, you can negotiate with your attorney. If the appeal materials have not been submitted, part of the fee can generally be refunded.

(3) Accept the entrustment of criminal suspects or defendants in criminal cases or be appointed by legal aid agencies to serve as defenders in accordance with the law, accept Act as an agent to participate in litigation when entrusted by private prosecutors in private prosecution cases, victims in public prosecution cases, or their close relatives;

(4) Accept entrustments and act as agents for appeals in various litigation cases;

(5) Accept entrustment and participate in mediation and arbitration activities;

(6) Accept entrustment and provide non-litigation legal services;

Article 26 When a lawyer undertakes business, the law firm shall accept the entrustment uniformly, sign a written entrustment contract with the client, and obey the law firm's conflict of interest review and business decision-making.
