Cannongji is located in guoyuan, Zhuangyan Township, Qingyuan County, 5 kilometers northeast of Baoding/KLOC-0, 3 kilometers west of Shen Jing Expressway. Kannonji was founded in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. According to the Ten Years of Daming Zhengde (15 15), "Rebuilding Kannonji" written by Shaman, a disciple of Hua Yan, Yi Ji, Ding Min and Huitang, "Zhuangyan Society in Qingyuan County, Baoding Prefecture, Zhili Province, is 25 miles northeast of the county, and its place name is state-owned. There is an ancient temple behind the village, which was rebuilt during the Dading period (1161~1189). " Over time, the temple gradually collapsed. In the tenth year of Zheng De, believers and good people Zhan and Zhong Qingyan asked the monks of Dacige Temple to rebuild the temple. Tomorrow, in the third year (1623), Hu Guangcheng, commander of Tianfu local garrison, and Bian Jingning, eunuch of Linfa Neigong (public office in Qingyuan County) will rebuild Kannonji. From the beginning of February of that year to the fifth year of the apocalypse (1625) in August, it took two and a half years to build the Heavenly King Hall, the Ursa Major Hall, the attached hall and the meditation room. After the reconstruction of Kannonji, "the ceiling is brilliant, the colors are scattered, and the incense burns for thousands of years, always shining with the light of the earth". This shows that Kannonji was prosperous at that time. However, this thousand-year-old temple was completely destroyed in the wave of tearing down temples in the early years of the Republic of China.
After the reform and opening up, the Party's religious policy was implemented, and Kannonji was officially opened as a place for Buddhist activities in 1992. The old mage Kong Ming asked Zhuo Xi of Beijing Fayuan Temple to take on the heavy responsibility of Zhongxing Ancient Temple. Regardless of his age and physical decline, he presided over the restoration work and made great efforts to accumulate manpower and material resources. It took four years to build Maitreya Hall, Guanyin Hall, Buddhist Temple (Tibetan Classics Building), seven-story Dangyang Tower and Daxiong Hall. Since then, the thorny land has become a solemn Dojo.
During 1996, the sky was silent, and Master Zhenguang successfully presided over the hospital. He was busy raising money and built nine-story stupas, Zuta, living room, Zhaitang and two-story squatters. From May 2005 to July 2006, he successively built Building A with a building area of 4,000 square meters and Yunshui Building with a building area of more than 5,000 square meters, and kept greening and beautifying.
Kannonji now covers an area of more than 36,000 square meters, with a building area of 13000 square meters and a green space of 1500 square meters. The full of green in the temple, with tall and straight pines and cypresses, swaying flowers and trees, offering exotic flowers and grasses, is magnificent in architecture and solemn in treasures, especially the view of the twin towers, which is a must in the local area and attracts pilgrims from all directions. The overall layout of the temple building is rigorous, and the central axis is from south to north in turn: Tianwang Hall, Guanyin Pavilion, Daxiong Hall, Buddha Hall and-Building. On the east and west sides are stupa, living room, Zhaitang, Dangyang Tower, Yunshui Building and Dazhaitang.
