Hequ County is the hometown of Chinese folk art. Hequ County is located at the intersection of grassland culture and Central Plains culture. Hequ folk songs and duotai art were included in the first batch of "National Intangible Cultural Heritage" lists.
The famous scenic spots in Hequ include:
(1) Niangniang Beach
Niangniang Beach is located in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, 7.5 kilometers northeast of the county.
(2) Pen Tower
Wenbi Tower, formerly known as Zhuangyuan Tower, is 31 meters high and looks like the giant pen of Zhuangyuan Lang.
(3) Longkou Gorge
Longkou Gorge is located more than 30 miles northeast of the county. It has steep stone walls on both sides and the Yellow River in the middle. The river water spurts towards Longkou. After the thunder, it suddenly opened up into a river valley plain, and the water surface suddenly widened and slowed down, resembling a dragon's mouth, hence the name.
(4) Mifozhandong
Mifozhandong is located on the cliff of the Yellow River north of Shicheng Village, 46 miles northeast of the county.
(5)Chaohai Temple
Chaohai Temple is located on the bank of Jianhe River 42 kilometers south of the old county. It is also known as Chaohai Temple and has the reputation of "Little Wutai Mountain in the northwest of Shanxi".
(6) Xikou Ancient Ferry
Xikou Ancient Ferry is located at the western end of Hequ County, close to the bank of the Yellow River and connected to Binhe Avenue. The total construction area of ??the square is about 25,000 square meters, which is divided into two parts: the upper platform square and the river viewing platform.
