Members of Parliament are elected by a Scottish referendum. Scotland, like other parts of Britain, pursues a democratic system and respects different beliefs and political opinions.

Scotland has its own judicial system. Local laws and regulations are divided into civil law and criminal law. The legal profession is divided into junior lawyers and defense lawyers. Lawyers are responsible for handling general legal affairs, such as appearing in court, buying and selling real estate, and handling inheritance. Defense lawyers must represent individuals in civil or criminal cases in court. Citizens can pay for lawyers, but they can also enjoy legal services with the help of the legal help system without money.
