Legal consequences of false statements in court

In court, if the parties make false statements and violate good faith, they will be severely punished by law. If the parties collude maliciously and attempt to infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of others through litigation or mediation, the people's court shall reject their request and impose fines and detention according to the seriousness of the case. If a crime is constituted, criminal responsibility shall be investigated according to law.

Article 112 of the Civil Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that if the parties collude maliciously and attempt to infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of others through litigation or mediation, the people's court shall reject their request and impose fines and detention according to the seriousness of the case; If a crime is constituted, criminal responsibility shall be investigated according to law.

Article 113 stipulates that if the person subjected to execution colludes with others in bad faith and evades the performance of the obligations specified in legal documents through litigation, arbitration or mediation, the people's court shall impose fines and detention according to the seriousness of the case; If a crime is constituted, criminal responsibility shall be investigated according to law.

Article 1 15 stipulates that the amount of fines imposed on individuals shall not exceed RMB100000 yuan. The amount of fines imposed on the unit is more than 50,000 yuan1000,000 yuan.

The period of detention shall not exceed fifteen days.

Article 307 of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention if a witness is prevented from testifying or instructed to commit perjury by means of violence, threats or bribery; If the circumstances are serious, they shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years.

Whoever helps a party destroy or forge evidence, if the circumstances are serious, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention.

Any judicial officer who commits the crimes mentioned in the preceding two paragraphs shall be given a heavier punishment.
