If Hong Kong people want to entrust a mainland lawyer to appear in court in the Mainland, what procedures are required?

According to judicial interpretations and relevant agreements reached between different jurisdictions, the People's Courts of the Mainland have the following special provisions for hearing civil and commercial litigation involving Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan:

Appointment of litigation agents

Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan If a natural person, legal person or organization needs to entrust a lawyer to represent them in litigation before the People's Court, they must entrust a mainland lawyer. However, this does not exclude the parties from entrusting Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan lawyers or ordinary citizens to act as non-lawyers to represent them in litigation in the Mainland. If an overseas party appoints a litigation agent, it shall submit a notarized and certified power of attorney and specify the agency authority. If the notarization and authentication procedures have not been completed, the people's court shall not allow the trustee to appear in court to represent the person in litigation. The power of attorney submitted by residents of Hong Kong and Macao to the People's Court shall be authenticated in accordance with the following provisions:

1? Our institutions in Hong Kong and Macao (Xinhua News Agency Hong Kong Branch, Bank of China, China Resources Corporation, China Merchants Group, Macao South Guangdong Company, Macau Nantong Bank) staff can be certified by their institutions;

2? Hong Kong and Kowloon Federation of Trade Unions, Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong Federation of Educators, Macau Chinese Education Association, Macau Chinese General Association Members of chambers of commerce can be certified by their associations;

3? Ordinary people in society can be certified by Hong Kong lawyers commissioned by the Ministry of Justice;

4? Certification issues issued by the Hong Kong Civil Affairs Department, The certificate from the civil affairs department transferred by the lawyer entrusted by the Ministry of Justice can be considered reliable.
