Zhao'an County (formerly Zhao'an County, Zhangzhou City) is a county under the jurisdiction of Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. It is located at the southern end of Fujian, at the junction of Fujian and Guangdong.

It is bounded by the intersection of the East China Sea and the South China Sea to the south, Raoping County of Guangdong to the west, Pinghe County to the north, Yunxiao County and Dongshan County to the east, and Raoping County and Nan'ao County to the west. Zhao'an County governs 16 towns (districts), 7 state-owned agriculture and forestry farms, 1 provincial industrial park, 1 Jindu Industrial Cluster (Marine Life Industrial Park) under construction, and 231 villages (communities).

According to the seventh census data, as of 0:11 on June 2020, the permanent population of Zhao'an County was 560,969. Zhao'an County is the hometown of calligraphy and painting, the hometown of Chinese folk culture and art (painting), the hometown of Chinese childhood, a former county in central Jiangsu, a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Fujian, and the ancestral home of important Taiwanese compatriots. Zhao'an belonged to Nanhai County in the Qin Dynasty, which was the beginning of its inclusion in the central territory. In the sixth year of Dingyuan of the Western Han Dynasty (165438 BC + 01 BC), it belonged to Jieyang County, Nanhai County. In the sixth year of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (331), Dongguan County was located in the east of Nanhai County, in the ninth year of Yixi County (413), it was divided into Dongguan County and Yi'an County, and Jieyang County was located in Sui'an County. As of the end of 2021 and November, Zhao'an County has 18 towns and 5 townships, namely Nanzhao Town, Sidu Town, Meiling Town, Qiaodong Town, Shenqiao Town, Taiping Town, Xiage Town, Guanpi Town, Xiuzhuan Town, Xitan Town, Jianshe Town.
