The bar qualification examination is now a national judicial examination. The national judicial examination was held in March 2002. It combines the three examinations of "lawyer qualification examination", "first-time judge qualification examination" and "first-time prosecutor qualification examination" into one, and cancels the above three independent examinations that have been popular for a long time. Bachelor degree or above can sign up for the exam. In addition, this exam does not stipulate the nature and specialty of the applicants. LL.M. and LL.M. both belong to the national academic education examination, while the judicial examination is a qualification examination, which is different from the academic education examination. In other words, LLM and LLM must pass the judicial examination if they want to qualify.

Application conditions:

Education requirements: bachelor degree or above in law major in colleges and universities, or bachelor degree or above in other majors in colleges and universities, with legal professional knowledge.

That is to say, in principle, junior college students can't sign up for the national judicial examination, but this year, the Ministry of Justice stipulated that in some areas where there is a serious shortage of legal professionals, the qualifications for registration for the division examination were still relaxed, allowing junior college students majoring in law to sign up in relaxed areas.

Persons who meet the following conditions may sign up for the national judicial examination:

2. Support the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC) and enjoy the right to vote and stand for election;

3. Have full capacity for civil conduct;

4. Meet the academic qualifications and professional conditions stipulated in the Judges Law, the Public Prosecutor Law and the Lawyers Law;

5. Good conduct.

According to the Ministry of Justice's "Opinions on Determining the Place of Relaxing the Qualifications for National Judicial Examination Registration" (No.2 [2002] of our company), autonomous counties (banners) under the jurisdiction of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, counties (banners) under the jurisdiction of all autonomous regions and counties under the jurisdiction of all autonomous prefectures; National key poverty alleviation and development counties approved by the State Council; The cities, regions, counties, county-level cities and municipal districts under the jurisdiction of Xizang Autonomous Region may relax their registration qualifications to a junior college degree in law.

According to Article 68 of the Higher Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the aforementioned institutions of higher learning refer to universities, independent colleges and junior colleges, including higher vocational schools and adult institutions of higher learning.

Anyone with educational background from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and foreign institutions of higher learning can sign up for the exam.

1. Having received criminal punishment for intentional crime;

2. Being expelled from public office by a state organ or having his lawyer's practice license revoked;

3. In accordance with the provisions of Article 18 of the Measures for the Implementation of the National Judicial Examination (Trial), he was sentenced to not register for the National Judicial Examination within 2 years, and the time limit was not full; Or sentenced to life and not allowed to register for the national judicial examination.

(3) Those who have passed the national judicial examination and obtained the A-class legal professional qualification certificate, and those who have obtained the B-class legal professional qualification certificate but have not yet obtained the bachelor's degree or above in institutions of higher learning may not register for the national judicial examination again.
