Are lawyers in the Justice Bureau reliable?

Reliable.

The free lawyer of the Judicial Bureau is a service organized by government departments, aiming at providing legal aid to those who cannot afford to pay the lawyer's fees. These lawyers have professional legal knowledge and skills and passed the relevant qualification certification. Lawyers in the Bureau of Justice are civil servants, who only engage in legal aid work and do not charge lawyers' agency fees. According to Article 35 of the Criminal Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), if a criminal suspect or defendant fails to entrust a defender due to financial difficulties or other reasons, he or his near relatives may apply to a legal aid institution. To meet the conditions of legal aid, legal aid institutions shall appoint lawyers to defend them.
