The story tells that Mickey Howler (Matthew McConaughey Matthew McConaughey), a criminal defense lawyer in Los Angeles nicknamed "Lawyer Lincoln", handles business for clients at the bottom of society. He is clear about good and evil, honest and trustworthy, not a greedy villain.
This time, however, Howler's defense is like that of young and wealthy real estate developer Luis Roulet (played by ryan phillippe ryan phillippe).
Roulet is accused of beating and trying to rape the recruit girl Ruiqi (margarita levieva), but Roulet claims that he is innocent and someone planted him.
