China's administrative levels are divided into five levels: national level, provincial and ministerial level, departmental level, county level and township level, and all levels are divided into deputies.
The level of the central ministries and commissions is what we usually call "state, Ministry (province), department, department and branch". In addition to the national level, the other three levels are what we often call local three-level administrative divisions. The Supreme People's Procuratorate, General Office of the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme People's Procuratorate are the highest legal supervision organs in China, leading the work of local people's procuratorates at all levels and special people's procuratorates, and the people's procuratorates at higher levels lead the work of people's procuratorates at lower levels.
The Supreme People's Procuratorate is responsible to the National People's Congress and its Standing Committee.
Local people's procuratorates at all levels are responsible to the organs of state power that produced them and the people's procuratorates at higher levels. Provincial procuratorates, people's procuratorates of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, people's procuratorates at prefecture level, branches of people's procuratorates of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and people's procuratorates of autonomous prefectures and municipalities directly under the Central Government; Grassroots procuratorates, people's procuratorates of counties, cities, autonomous counties and municipal districts; Special procuratorates and special people's procuratorates mainly include military procuratorates and railway transport procuratorates.
The people's procuratorates at all levels correspond to the people's courts at all levels and handle cases in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the Criminal Procedure Law. The people's procuratorates independently exercise procuratorial power according to law, and are not subject to interference by administrative organs, social organizations or individuals.
