First, participate in poverty alleviation and comprehensive agricultural development and construction in the western region to promote the development of animal husbandry in the western region. Using the natural advantages of developing animal husbandry in the west, Zhang Yi, Chairman of Zhonghui Group, has successively invested in the construction of nine animal husbandry enterprises, including Gansu Zhonghui Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., Guazhou Longxing Animal Husbandry Development Co., Ltd., Yumen Zhonghui Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., Gansu Madan Animal Husbandry Development Co., Ltd., Gansu Qilian Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd., Pingliang Western Guanshan Red Bull Co., Ltd., Ningxia Liupanshan Jinghe Muslim Food Co., Ltd. Ningxia Hope Beef Cattle Development Co., Ltd. was established successively in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, which has made positive contributions to the development of grass and livestock industry in the west, the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure in the west, the improvement of ecological environment in the west, the development and expansion of local economy, the promotion of farmers in poverty-stricken areas to get rid of poverty and become rich, the implementation of comprehensive agricultural development, the construction of new socialist countryside and the sustainable development of local animal husbandry.
Second, establish trade associations to promote the standardized growth of cattle and sheep industry in the west. In 2005, in view of the unbalanced development, lack of cohesion, disorderly competition and irregular management of cattle and sheep industry in Gansu Province, Zhonghui Group took the lead in establishing the Gansu Cattle and Sheep Industry Association in May of that year with the strong support of Gansu Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department and Civil Affairs Department. The association has more than 200 members, involving enterprises and institutions in cattle and sheep breeding, embryo transfer, feed processing, fattening, slaughter processing, epidemic prevention and quarantine, technical services, marketing, catering and other related industries. It is the first provincial trade association initiated and established by enterprises voluntarily in Gansu Province.
Drawing lessons from the successful experience of establishing Gansu Cattle and Sheep Industry Association, Zhonghui Group once again took the lead in establishing Ningxia Muslim Beef and Mutton Industry Association and Guyuan Cattle and Sheep Industry Association in Ningxia, which laid an organizational foundation and played a positive role in promoting the development of local cattle and sheep industry and Muslim food, realizing the transformation and development of local cattle and sheep industry.
In recent years, Zhonghui Group has signed cattle and sheep purchase orders and breeding technical service contracts with more than 80,000 farmers in Gansu and Ningxia. On May 2, 2005, the first Gansu cattle and sheep industry development forum led by Zhonghui Group was held in Lanzhou, Gansu. The forum invited well-known domestic experts such as President of China Animal Products Processing Research Association, Vice President of Nanjing Agricultural University, Professor Zhou, Chairman of Sheep Branch of China Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Society, Professor Zhao, Doctoral Supervisor of Gansu Agricultural University, President of Cattle Branch of China Animal Husbandry Association, and former director of Animal Husbandry Institute of China Academy of Agricultural Sciences, to conduct in-depth discussions and research on the development of cattle and sheep industry in Gansu and China.
On August 5 -7, 2006, with the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture, the first China Cattle Industry Development Conference and the third China Sheep Industry Development Conference were held in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, sponsored by China Animal Husbandry Association and undertaken by Gansu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Gansu Provincial Cattle and Sheep Industry Association and Gansu Zhonghui Cattle and Sheep Industry Group. This is the first time that the two conferences have been held in the West. The convening of the two sessions has played a positive role in promoting the all-round and healthy development of agriculture, especially animal husbandry in Gansu, expanding the influence of animal husbandry in Gansu in the whole country and promoting the development of cattle and sheep industry in the west.
Fourth, participate in exhibitions and visits, and strive to improve their own management level. While Zhonghui Group is growing rapidly, Zhang Yi, the chairman of Zhonghui Group, knows that the sustainable development of western enterprises will be more difficult than that of coastal developed cities and foreign enterprises, and western enterprises must learn to go out if they want to become bigger and stronger. Therefore, Zhonghui Group has organized western enterprises to participate in national large-scale meat food exhibitions for many times, visited and studied related animal husbandry industries at home and abroad, constantly strengthened its own management level, and explored the road of sustainable development of China's animal husbandry. From March 12 to March 23, 2005, Chairman Zhang Yi visited Egypt and the United Arab Emirates to attend the "38th Cairo International Trade Fair". Especially on April1July-25, 2006, Zhang Yi, Chairman of Zhonghui Group, accompanied Hui Liangyu, Vice Premier of the State Council, to inspect the French beef industry and published the article "Drawing on French experience to develop the traceability system of beef quality and safety in China", which played a positive role in establishing and perfecting the traceability system of beef cattle in China.
Through in-depth observation and research of large enterprises at home and abroad, drawing on their advanced production management experience, Zhonghui Group actively builds a national e-commerce website, and uses information technology and network technology to transform production processes and circulation processes to improve logistics efficiency and product marketability. Zhang Yi, Chairman of Gansu Zhonghui, has published three theoretical articles since he was engaged in animal husbandry, namely, Speeding up the Construction of High-grade Mutton Sheep Industry System to Realize the Sustainable Development of Sheep Industry in China, Comparative Advantages and Prospects for the Development of Grass and Livestock Industry in Gansu, and Developing Natural Animal Husbandry and Implementing the Sustainable Development Strategy of Cattle Industry by Using the Advantages of Western Region, which deeply evaluated and expounded the present situation and future development of cattle and sheep industry in western China. In particular, the speech of "Pioneering and Innovating, Striving for Progress" at the National Animal Husbandry Association Work Seminar put forward its own unique views on the development of China Animal Husbandry Association and won high praise from domestic experts.
