The original meanings of "satisfiedly smile" and "smugly roar" are different. "Proud roar" means singing a long song. Describe unrestrained. It conforms to Li Bai's character and the artistic conception of the whole poem Song on the River. There is Guo Pu's eighth poem "Wandering Immortals" in the Jin Dynasty as evidence: "I am proud of my legacy, and I am worried about loneliness."
The original meaning of "smug smile" is joking, not disrespectful. In the Book of Songs: "Laugh proudly, the center is sad." Mao Chuan: "Words are joking and disrespectful." If the "smile" of "poetry becomes a smile and you are proud of Lingcangzhou" is interpreted as a joke, it deviates from the original intention of poetry.
Therefore, although the word used in the poem is "laughing proudly", it should be interpreted as "arrogance". This is not only the case with Li Bai's poem, but also with the word "Xiaoao" in other poets' works, and we should also pay attention to whether it is often used as "Xiaoao".
