What information can a lawyer find out about others?

Legal analysis: lawyers can inquire about other people's household registration information by submitting their own letters of introduction and their own lawyer's practice certificate.

Legal basis: Article 5 (Applicable) of the Specification for Information Inquiry of Registered Population in Public Security Police Stations.

To apply for registered population information inquiry, the following relevant materials and certificates shall be submitted, and the Registration Form for Registered Population Information Inquiry shall be filled out as required (attached);

(a) all departments of the political and legal system need to inquire about the registered population information because of handling cases, and they need to submit a letter of introduction from the unit to inquire about the applicant's valid work certificate;

(two) the party and government organs, enterprises and institutions, party organizations and security departments need to inquire about the registered population information because of the transfer, and they need to submit a letter of introduction from the party group or the personnel department of the unit and inquire about the applicant's valid work certificate;

(three) lawyers, legal workers, notaries need to inquire about the registered population information because of their practice, and they need to submit their letters of introduction and their lawyers' practice certificates, legal workers' certificates and notaries' practice certificates issued by the Judicial Bureau;

(four) hospitals, pharmacies, posts and telecommunications, banks and other units need to inquire about the registered population information due to emergency, and need to submit a letter of introduction from the unit and the valid identity documents of the applicant.

The letter of introduction submitted by the inquiry applicant shall specify the reasons for the inquiry and the relevant information of the inquired person.
