The founding history of Chongqing Tsinghua Middle School

Chongqing Tsinghua Middle School originated in Tsinghua University and was founded in 1938.

1938, Comrade Dong instructed the establishment of a middle school led by the * * * production party in Chongqing. As the organizer and main teachers are both Tsinghua alumni, and the first principal and educator Fu Rengan were also appointed by the president of Tsinghua University, it was named Chongqing Tsinghua Middle School.

After liberation, the school was taken over by the government, and Chongqing Tsinghua Middle School was renamed as "Chongqing Ninth Middle School";

1984, Chongqing No.9 Middle School resumed the name of "Chongqing Tsinghua Middle School", and Comrade Deng, Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, personally wrote the name of the school;

1982, the school was listed as the first batch of key middle schools in Sichuan province.

1999, the school was recognized as the first batch of municipal key middle schools after Chongqing was directly under the central government;

In 2000, the school was rated as "the best civilized unit in Chongqing";

In 2006, the school was approved by the Ministry of Education as a "Chinese-foreign cooperative education unit";

In 2007, the school was approved by Hanban and Chongqing Municipal Education Commission as a "base school for international promotion of Chinese" and named as a "national green school" by the State Environmental Protection Administration and the Ministry of Education. Mr. Wang Yuan, a famous mathematician and academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, served as the chief consultant of Chongqing Tsinghua Middle School;

In July 2009, the school was named "National Youth Civilization and Etiquette Education Demonstration Base" by Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and other ten ministries and commissions.

In September 2009, the school won the title of "Chongqing Forest Campus".
