In the twenty-sixth year of Qin Shihuang (the first 22 years1year), Xingan County was established and ruled in Ganyang (now Zhangshu City).
The Western Han Dynasty belonged to Xingan, Chengjian and Yichun. In the second year of Zhong Ping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (185), Yichun County was located in Hanping County (now Guwu Pingwei, the gate house of Zhongzhou Township, Zhangshu City), and the city boundaries belonged to Xingan, Chengjian and Hanping.
The Three Kingdoms changed Hanping County to Wuping County.
In the fifth year of Tang Wude (622), Taipingwei (now Changfu Town) in the southwest of Zhangshu was the county seat, and Shiping County was the county seat. In the seventh year of Wude (624), Shiping County was abolished as Xinyu County, and the city boundary belonged to Gao 'an, Xinyu and Xinyi counties.
In the second year of the Southern Tang Dynasty in the Five Dynasties (938), the area north of Xingan County was set aside, and Chongxue Township of Xingan County, Jian 'an Township and Xiu De Township of Gao 'an County were set aside, and Qingjiang County was built in Tanxiao Town (renamed Linjiang Town in the Song Dynasty) (Yuan and Gan rivers meet in Tan Xiao, and the river is clear, so the county seat is famous for its water).
In the third year of Chunhua in the Northern Song Dynasty (992), Qingjiang County, Xinyi County and Xinyu County set up Linjiang Army, Linjiang Town set up an army, and Qingjiang County was the Yi King County.
