According to the normal procedure, DNA paternity completed the first round of testing. In order to ensure the accuracy of the identification results, the program requires another group of inspectors to start with DNA extraction and do tests again before reaching a conclusion. So two tests will take seven days.
From the laboratory's point of view, it is possible to produce a paternity test report in 8 hours or even less. However, in the actual acceptance process, most paternity testing institutions are often unable to issue paternity testing reports within 8 hours due to cost control and risk considerations, as well as the uncertainty of receiving samples.
