Sansheng Ruixian Pagoda was built in the first year of Sui Renshou, and was rebuilt in six years by Jin Dading. The plane of Sansheng Ruixian Tower is rectangular, each side is six meters long, * * * is thirteen stories high and about thirty meters high. The first floor of the tower is a brick wall with a flat seat and double eaves on each floor, and each floor is gradually lowered. The fifth floor is too big. Look at its prototype, just like an upside-down well, the hole reaches the top. There are ventilation window on the front floor of the tower, so you can look up and down by sticking your head out of the window. The third and fifth floors can walk around the eaves, and the tower can climb up layer by layer.
According to the inscription inscribed on the third floor of Sansheng Ruixian Pagoda, "In the sixth year of Dading (1 166), the skeleton monk of Shundu arrived here, and a stone turtle was dug up in the west of Zhaoqing Courtyard, with the words" Ruixian Pagoda in three sheng, an ancient temple "printed on the back and the words" Yan Feng Zang, a monk in the first year of Sui Renshou "printed on the abdomen, so it was in the ninth year of Dading. Judging from the prototype of the tower, it does have the architectural style of Sui and Tang Dynasties, similar to the Little Wild Goose Pagoda. According to local people, this tower was originally built for the northwest of Zhensha village.
Sansheng Ruixian Pagoda is a typical example of brick pagodas with dense eaves in Liao and Jin Dynasties. It is generally impossible to climb up. Its plane, structure and shape have their own characteristics, and it is an important material for studying the evolution of Liao and Jin Dynasties. This kind of secret eaves tower still retains the form of square secret eaves tower in Tang Dynasty, which is popular in the north and is another new creation of secret eaves tower used in Jin Dynasty. Sansheng Ruixian Pagoda was rebuilt on the basis of Sui Pagoda in Jin Dynasty. Although it is an "antique" building, it does not lose the charm of the Sui Tower.
1986 sansheng ruixian pagoda is listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Shanxi province; In 2006, it was listed as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
