Development advantages of Meizhou Bay North Shore Economic Development Zone

The North Shore Economic Development Zone of Meizhou Bay is located in the central coast of Fujian, connecting the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta and Taiwan Province Island. It is 72 nautical miles east of Taichung Port in Taiwan Province Province, 32 nautical miles north of Mawei Port in Fuzhou, 5 nautical miles from Shanghai Port, 96 nautical miles south of Xiamen Port and 397 nautical miles from Hong Kong. It is an important hub of maritime transport routes.

The branch lines of fuzhou-xiamen railway, Xiangpu Railway and Port Railway go directly to Wu Dong Port Area of the Development Zone, and Xiangpu Railway connects the Beijing-Kowloon artery. It takes only 10 hours to get to Beijing by train from Putian.

Putian Airport has been included in the construction plan of CAAC and Fujian Provincial People's Government. At present, it takes 2 hours to drive from Bei 'an Development Zone to Xiamen Gao Qi Airport, 1.5 hours from Changle Airport and 1 hour from Jinjiang Airport.

The port-dredging passages, such as Chenggang Avenue, Hangang Avenue, Ligang Avenue, Provincial Highway 20 1 and Meiyong Expressway, which have been built successively, are directly connected with Wu Dong Port Area, forming a comprehensive and convenient three-dimensional highway traffic network in the development zone. The North Coast Development Zone has a subtropical maritime monsoon climate, with annual average temperature 18-2 1℃, annual average sunshine hours 1995.9 hours, frost-free period of 300-350 days and annual rainfall1000-/800 mm.
