The Development Research Center of the Ministry of Water Resources has 13 1 staff and a strong professional research and consulting team. Most researchers have postdoctoral and doctoral and master's degrees, and have senior titles or above. A group of young and middle-aged researchers have gradually become the backbone of water conservancy policy research and decision-making consultation. More than 70 academicians, famous scholars and relevant experts from the two academies were invited to lead the center to set up an expert advisory committee to provide consultation for major research projects and provide resources and intellectual support for research work. There is an academic committee in the center, which is currently composed of 15 members with rich research experience and high research level. It is responsible for the review and appraisal of major academic matters and provides academic checks and professional guidance for research work. At present, the center has hired 126 new special researchers from 46 units, who have been engaged in water administration or research and consultation for many years and have high professional quality and rich practical experience.
The center has functional departments, applied research departments and basic research departments. In recent years, the research achievements of central projects have been remarkable, and the research ability has been continuously improved. Some important achievements have been widely used inside and outside the water conservancy system, affirmed by relevant leaders, experts and people in the industry, achieved good social and economic benefits, and gradually established the leading position of the center in the soft science research field of water conservancy industry. China Water Conservancy Development Report, Water Conservancy Development Research and Water Conservancy and Hydropower Technology undertaken by Water Conservancy Development Magazine, a secondary institution, have great influence both inside and outside the industry. Beijing Zhongshui Runze Consulting Co., Ltd. is committed to water conservancy and hydropower information and technical consultation of water conservancy projects, and provides effective solutions for water conservancy reform and development. Beijing Yuanxin Water Conservancy and Electric Power Technology Development Co., Ltd. is expanding its business in project development, comprehensive services, website network and logistics support.
