"... the most attractive thing about Spaced is its unique visual style and frequent references to popular culture. I will definitely feel quite fresh when I first watch the drama series, because those frequent and rapid lens cuts and continuous flashbacks and interludes are extremely rare in traditional sitcoms; Equally novel are imitative tribute jokes that can be seen everywhere, especially the tribute to cult movies, comics and games, and even the tribute subtitles are set on DVD. The characters in SPACED are all distinctive and neurotic, especially the four supporting roles-Martha, an eccentric and nostalgic old landlord, Brian, a strange tenant of a performance art painter, Mike, Tim's military madman friend, and Twist, Daisy's artificial fashion friend. These interesting features make A Space Odyssey a hit classic with a large number of loyal fans in Britain. …"
