My section belongs to Yuci West Railway Inspection Institute, and my job is to inspect and maintain the running railway freight cars, commonly known as "repairing railway freight cars". When I first came to the train inspection office as an intern, I saw the car inspection masters wearing seat belts and wearing inspection and maintenance tools at their waists, carrying out inspection and maintenance operations on the delivery vehicles on the line. In the operation, the masters touch and check the axle box to measure the temperature, tap the vehicle parts with the vehicle inspection hammer to judge the truck fault, and even let the cat bend down to find the truck fault. This is very dedicated and hard work. Chatting with the masters, I learned that this kind of work has a strong sense of responsibility and I have to work at night, which is not as easy as I thought. Knowing this, I backed out and really regretted choosing this major.
I officially went to work, and the teacher who took me was Yan. Master Yan's car inspection skills are excellent, and the repair work is done neatly. He is also very strict with me, teaching me by hand, and I try my best to learn and practice. After more than a month, I successfully passed the post exam and can work independently.
At that time, because Shanxi was rich in coal exports, railway truck transportation was very busy. My shift is divided into two groups. A group of freight trains 10 are overhauled, each train is overhauled 1 0 for more than one hour, and the rest are overhauled for half an hour. At that time, there were many trucks and failures, so it was really not easy to check the vehicles, especially replacing the brake shoes and adjusting the brake stroke. Sometimes after a train, I go back to the waiting room, and before I have time to rest, I am told to go to work online. I can also meet the maintenance work from train to train without stopping, and I feel my head is falling apart after the last shift. Fortunately, most of our secondary school students come from peasant families and have been doing farm work since childhood, so they can still bear the hardships and tiredness of going to work.
At that time, the living conditions of the testing station where I was located were also very simple. In a yard less than half a football field, there are two rows of bungalows, the front row is the waiting room and dressing room, the back row is the conference room, dressing room, secretary's office, bathhouse and boiler room, and there is a canteen next to the fence on the right. The seats in the waiting room are wooden benches with backrest, and the wooden cabinets in the dressing room are mostly damaged, and the locks are just a decoration. It's said to be messy, but no cooked food is served. It's just that the families of two workers are hired to mix the flour and water brought by each person, roll them into noodles and cook them, and heat the dishes they bring, so the workers can make do with lunch and midnight snack.
I was interested in writing when I was a car inspector. I often send blackboard newspapers to the institute, and also write articles on good deeds in the institute, and submit them to the newspaper for publication. After Duan's leaders knew these things, they transferred me to Duan's office to do paperwork at the end of 1984. At this point, I bid farewell to the post of car inspector who has worked for more than 5 years and left my brothers. In the past five years, I have never missed the safety accident of inspection and maintenance. Many times signed up for the quick repair competition organized by the higher authorities and won the ranking. After the examination, I am very happy to get the first batch of standardized car inspector certificates issued by the Ministry of Railways. Five years' work in the inspection institute has sharpened my strong will, spurred me to move forward vigorously, and made my firm belief in life never giving up.
