Safety month activities
Before 1980, due to various reasons, many enterprises and units had long been in poor production safety, with frequent casualties and serious occupational diseases. The relevant government departments have made up their minds to take effective measures to solve the problems existing in labor protection and reverse the serious situation of casualty accidents and occupational diseases.
1984 On March 29th, the State Economic Commission, the Ministry of Labor and Personnel, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Public Security jointly issued a notice to launch the fifth National Safety Month. On April 27th of the same year, Zhang Jinfu, State Councilor, director of the State Economic Commission and leader of the leading group of "National Safety Month", delivered a radio and television speech entitled "Pay close attention to safety production and improve economic benefits" to mobilize the whole country to carry out the fifth national safety month.
