Jiang Weixin pointed out that the urban and rural housing construction system in China has basically achieved the objectives and tasks set in the 11th Five-Year Plan.

Urbanization is advancing rapidly. In 2009, the level of urbanization was 46.59%, which was 3.6 percentage points higher than that at the end of the Tenth Five-Year Plan.

At the end of 2009, the per capita residential construction area in cities and towns was about 30 square meters, while that in rural areas was 33.6 square meters, increasing by 15% and 13% respectively compared with 2005.

During the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period, 65,438+67 million square meters of heating metering and energy-saving renovation of existing residential buildings in the north were completed.

It is estimated that the treatment rates of municipal solid waste and municipal sewage in China will reach 72.5% and 75% respectively this year.
