Jiaocheng District, referred to as "Bajiao" for short, is the political, economic, financial, cultural, information and transportation center in eastern Fujian, the core area of the central city in the northeast wing of the economic zone on the west side of the Taiwan Strait, and the core area of the central city around Sandu 'ao.
