Lhasa River originates from Pengcuola Kongmagou at the southern foot of Nyainqentanglha Mountain in Jia Lili. It flows through Naqu, Dangxiong, Linzhou, Mozhugongka, Dazi, Chengguan and Duilong Deqing, and reaches Qushui County, a major tributary of the middle reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River.
The altitude is 5500 meters from the source to 3580 meters at the estuary. It is one of the highest rivers in the world and is called "Jiqu" in Tibetan. This river belongs to the type of snow melting and long rain, and its water volume changes with temperature and precipitation.
Lhasa River winds through the south of Lhasa and is the mother river of Lhasa. Standing by the Lhasa River, the muddy river flows slowly under your feet. On the south bank of Lhasa River, there is wind and sand, and vegetation is scarce. In the distance, there are bare stone mountains, and the mountains in the distance are still mountains, extending all the way to the distance. In the gloomy sky, several clouds seem to emerge from behind the mountain.
Walk into Nagenla
Nagenla mountain pass is 5 190 meters above sea level, which is a mountain passage from Nyainqentanglha Mountain to Namco. It belongs to the mountain pass above 5000 meters above sea level and is called the forbidden zone of life. You can overlook Namco from here. This is a scenic spot and a rest point. A stone tablet indicating the altitude was erected at the mountain pass, and the Mani pile at the mountain pass was covered with prayer flags.
Looking north from the mountain pass, you can see the blue Namco in the distance. If you are healthy, just stand at the mountain pass and look at the fields, and your heart will suddenly feel vigorous, boundless and vast. Because of the different seasons, except for the madness of the wind and the cracking of prayers, it is not as suffocating and horrible as the legend.
However, the temperature at Nagenla Pass is extremely low, so friends who travel to Namtso should bring their own down jackets. Looking at Namtso from the mountain pass, the beautiful sacred lake is like a precious mirror embedded in the sky. In the hearts of Tibetans, every mountain pass is a sacred place. Therefore, the mountain pass is full of prayer flags, which shows the reverence for the gods.
Walk into Zhaxi Peninsula
Zhaxi Peninsula, also known as Auspicious Love Island, is located in Dangxiong County, Tibet. It is the largest peninsula in Namco and the most important scenic spot to visit Namco. Zhaxi Peninsula is located at the southeast end of Namco Lake and extends northward into the lake. It is a peninsula of about 65,438+00 square kilometers composed of limestone.
In the middle is a hill tens of meters high, with numerous stone pillars and strange peaks and rocks at the northernmost end, and stone bridges naturally connected between the peaks and forests. Due to long-term erosion by Tianhu Lake, there are many quiet caves on the island, which are covered with stalactites, forming a unique karst landform.
It's a miracle that Tashi Island has such a unique and colorful landform. Zhaxi Peninsula is the most concentrated place of religious activities in Namco. There is Tashi Temple (Tashi, meaning auspicious in Tibetan) on the peninsula, and cigarettes are still around. Along the turning road of the peninsula, there is a big cave called Lotus Peanut Cave. It is said that there is a natural lotus tower in the cave.
