Suqian Vocational and Technical College was founded in 2000. It is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning approved by the people's government of Jiangsu Province and put on record by the Ministry of Education to implement higher vocational education at the junior college level. The college is affiliated to Beijing Bawei Information Group, with the information technology industry as its main feature.
The College is located in the Higher Education Park of Hubin New District, Suqian City, an excellent tourist city in China, a national garden city, a financial and ecological city in China, a new environmental protection and energy-saving demonstration city in the United Nations, a top 100 prefecture-level city in China, and a national health city. It is adjacent to the scenic Lake Rome tourist area and Santaishan National Forest Park, with an elegant environment. With the mission of "innovating education and leading the future", the college explores the development of vocational education through the process of casting body, heart and soul. The college adheres to the principles of "market demand-oriented", "post requirements as the standard" and "high-paying employment as the goal", improves the curriculum system of various majors, formulates talent training plans, innovates teaching modes, taps students' potential and improves teaching efficiency.
The college consists of four departments, one department and two basic colleges, and has formed four characteristic professional groups, such as information engineering, information design, internet finance and internet marketing, based on the Internet, Internet of Things and information technology, to provide guarantee for young students' study and employment, and to cultivate high-tech applied talents urgently needed by economic and social development. All IT students in our college study in Suqian campus for about two years and in Beijing or Shanghai for about one year.
