According to reports, the installation and use of ETC is a major measure implemented by the state to benefit the people and the people. At present, with the deepening of toll road reform and the continuous promotion of the cancellation of provincial toll stations, the number of equipped vehicles has increased substantially, and the upgrading of ETC lanes in our province has accelerated. Speeding up lane reconstruction means that car owners who have not applied for ETC can only queue up in the artificial lane to pay fees when entering the toll station of expressways in the province. At that time, the pressure of artificial lanes will increase, leading to traffic congestion and traffic jam, delaying travel time, increasing vehicle fuel consumption and reducing traffic efficiency.
According to relevant national requirements, since 2020, unless otherwise stipulated in the State Council, various preferential policies such as toll reduction and exemption will be realized by relying on ETC system, and ETC single card users (ETC users without on-board equipment) will no longer enjoy the basic preferential policy of not less than 5% of vehicle toll. With the improvement of technology, ETC will expand multi-scene applications such as expressway service areas and parking lots.
