Baoshan Qiao Family Courtyard Covers an Area

The Qiao Family Courtyard covers an area of 8,724 square meters, with a building area of 4 175 square meters.

Qiao Family Courtyard, also known as nave, is located in Qiaojiabao Village, Qixian County. Established on 1756. The whole courtyard is double-Xi-shaped, divided into 6 courtyards, 20 small courtyards and 3 13 houses, with a construction area of 4 175 square meters, facing the street on three sides and surrounded by 10.

The door seat faces east, with a tall top floor, a doorway in the middle, a stone walkway and parapets on both sides. At the end of the tunnel is the ancestral hall, which is far away from the gate. This is a temple building.

There are three courtyards in the north, all of which are eaves doors, hidden columns and three bays. There are more than enough cars coming in and out, and there are nails and horses on the outside of the door. From east to west are the old courtyard, the northwest courtyard and the study courtyard. All courtyards are positive-biased structures. The main courtyard is occupied by the main person, and the partial courtyard is the guest room, servant living room and kitchen.

Architecturally, the side yard is relatively low and the roof structure is very different. The main courtyard is a tile eaves, and the side courtyard is a square brick roof bungalow, which not only embodies the ethical level, but also embodies the sense of hierarchy in architecture. There are four main buildings in the compound, including six gatehouses, watchtowers and watchtowers.

There are walkways on the roof of every hospital, which is convenient for patrolling at night to protect the hospital. The interior of the compound is magnificent, with both ups and downs of falling rocks and unified norms of changing artistic conception, exquisite structure and excellent materials selection. Courtyard doors, cornices, stone carvings, brick carvings, tooth buildings and painted gold ornaments can be seen everywhere, with exquisite workmanship and unique features, showing the superb architectural technology of our working people.

It has high value in architectural aesthetics and folk custom research, and is praised by many experts and scholars as "a pearl in northern residential buildings in Qing Dynasty".
