Zhu Yongling: My life began in Tongji.

Young college students

/kloc-going to college at the age of 0/4 is a coincidence and an accident. Because my parents are both teachers, I have been studying hard. I skipped two grades. Freshman has been reading the textbooks of senior two, and his academic performance has been among the best in his class. I study in a rural middle school. When I was a freshman, a math teacher advised me to skip the college entrance examination. He told me not to expect to be admitted, but to accumulate some examination experience, so that there would be no pressure to enter the examination room with such a purpose. More than 980,000 candidates accepted 1 10,000, but I didn't expect to be in a fog. I did well in the exam, and my score was quite high, more than 40 points higher than the admission score of key universities in Hunan Province. I can apply for a good school. At that time, I read an article about Brandon Lee in People's Daily, which reported his deeds as the chief technical consultant of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. I thought he was great. Later, I learned that he was the president of Tongji University. I asked my mother if I could apply for Tongji University. My mother grew up in Nanjing. She wanted to take the Tongji exam but didn't have the chance, so I realized her dream.

I remember when I was studying in Shanghai, I had to buy a lot of things for my relatives and friends every time I went home. I bought a dozen watches, Shanghai brand 19, and I was very impressed. So I am a little expert in buying watches, such as how to listen and see, I know a little.

I entered school in 10 in' 78. When I first entered the campus, I felt fresh. For me at that time, the campus was really big. When he first entered the campus, Chairman Mao stood in the middle of the campus, his right hand held high, as if waving. The surrounding area is very empty and imposing, and the north and south buildings are opposite, which is very imposing and green. The whole campus feels very, very good.

When I first went to college, I didn't put down my book because I was young, afraid I couldn't keep up, and I still had concerns. However, at that time, everyone's foundation was not very good, so the difficulty was not great. Because of the stagnation of 10, older students cherish this opportunity and study hard. At that time, the school spirit was really good. Their knowledge base is not very good, and they forget many things. When they arrive at the university, they are eager to make up their knowledge. As for me, when I get to school, I can see many books that I couldn't see before. The school library can borrow many books. I only read four great classical novels when I was in college. However, my old classmate has rich social experience. As a child, I know nothing. Everything positive brought by Datong University has a subtle influence on me. At that time, I was eager for new things and the idea of contact was completely different from that in the commune before. It should be said that in the era of reform, I formed my own world outlook and outlook on life in Tongji. At that time, people were easily excited and passionate. Every week, they go to People's Square to see posters. What should we do to rehabilitate Peng Ping? Some educated youths even pointed the finger at Mao Zedong. I come from Mao Zedong's hometown. I thought it was incredible at the time.

There is no pressure to change the fate of postgraduate entrance examination and enter the university, but I didn't expect that the pressure of postgraduate entrance examination was quite great later.

I remember that after graduation, I was assigned back to my hometown of Hunan. At that time, the economy of Hunan was not very good. In Changsha City Transportation Bureau, Hunan Province, the projects at that time were all for the elderly, not for the young. Unlike now, dozens of billions of big projects will be handled by newly graduated college students. At that time, there were few big projects and no good opportunities in Hunan Province, so I wanted to change the environment. However, there were few college students at that time. If a college student leaves a unit, the society will think that the unit does not attach importance to talents, so every unit is unwilling to let the college student go. The solution is to withhold the files so that people cannot transfer them.

At this time, I thought of going to the postgraduate entrance examination. In fact, in theory, you should also continue your studies. After all, I was still too young when I went to college, and I was only eighteen when I graduated. There are still many things in college that I don't understand very well and have no time to digest.

For my postgraduate entrance examination, the Party Committee of Transportation Bureau held three meetings. At the beginning of the application, the leaders always disagreed. Fortunately, the director at that time graduated from the 68th Shanghai Jiaotong University and was more open-minded. Considering that I am young, I should continue to improve my studies and speak a lot for me. Later, the bureau party Committee finally agreed to let me take the postgraduate entrance examination, but the agreement was conditional: I would send him if I passed the exam, and I would work with peace of mind if I failed. There is only one chance, the last battle. It's stressful.

There is only about three months before and after preparation. At that time, I could only work during the day and read books and review at night. I can't take it anymore. I'm sleepy and my eyes are failing. I just need some eye drops to stimulate my eyes and then continue reading. It's a bit like an ancient man's head hanging on a beam and an awl stabbing. I remember that when I graduated from Tongji University, I weighed 1.33 kg, but only 99 kg after graduate school. When I went to Tongji again, I met my former instructor. She doesn't even know me. She is black and thin. Working hard at that time can consolidate the foundation. It should be said that I can make up for it in three months, which is also a good foundation during my college years. I remember that I did a lot of math problems at that time, from the first place to the last place in that set of advanced math exercises, I got 95 points in the postgraduate entrance examination.

After being admitted, the unit also fulfilled its promise and held a grand farewell party. The leader said that as long as I am willing to go back to Changsha, I can take whatever unit I want to go to. It can be seen that the leaders still love talents and attach great importance to me. I am very touched.

In the same week, * * * was in Yangcheng.

I came to Guangdong because I did a project of the Ministry of Communications when I was in graduate school. At that time, I often went to Guangdong to test the test data. I feel that the economy here is more developed than Changsha, with a large platform and many opportunities. I feel that my development prospects in Guangdong are better, so I decided to come to Guangzhou after graduation.

There are quite a lot of Tongji people in Guangdong's transportation system, and there are several tables for every party. Because of work, I usually have more contacts and good feelings. We often discuss together and help each other in our work. Everyone has feelings for Tongji. As long as someone calls Luo Zhang, Tongji people can get together easily. On the eve of the centennial anniversary in April last year, our Guangzhou Alumni Association held a very successful party, with four alumni from the 1930s, all very old. During the activity, alumni of all ages were asked to take a group photo as a souvenir. The scene is very touching.

I think Tongji people are still very United in Guangzhou and have been inheriting the spirit of helping each other in the same boat. In special work, as long as we can do it, everyone will help each other enthusiastically. I came to Guangzhou earlier, when there were not many alumni. In particular, I can feel the feeling of loneliness and helplessness when I first arrived in a foreign land. At this time, if someone can help me, just introducing some information may be very touching. Therefore, people like us who now have a say in their posts are willing to help Tongji graduates who have just arrived in Guangzhou. They need help most at this time. They came to Guangzhou a few years ago, and I personally took them to find a house to live in. In fact, sometimes a small thing for you brings great convenience to others. Why not?

I think we should give full play to the strength of alumni. Now our alumni association is working with alumni to do something within their power. For example, we set up an alumni fund to give some support to Tongji students. Although it is not much, we have made great efforts, and more and more alumni support us and will continue in the future.
