The Ministry of Public Security of China published the revised Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving License on its official website, which came into effect on 20 13 10. According to this regulation, the contents and eligibility criteria of the driving license examination will be unified nationwide.
The examination contents of motor vehicle drivers are divided into road traffic safety laws and regulations and related knowledge examination subjects (referred to as "subject 1"), venue driving skills examination subjects (referred to as "subject 2"), road driving skills and safe and civilized driving common sense examination subjects (referred to as "subject 3" and subject 4). The examination contents and eligibility criteria are unified throughout the country, and corresponding examination items are stipulated according to different driving models.
