Central Hebei is an important part of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei border region, and it is a plain area, which is about 300 kilometers long and 200 kilometers wide between the three railway trunk lines: Jinpu Railway, Pinghan Railway and Beining Railway.
Hebei Province starts from Pinghan Road in the west, east to Jinpu Road, north to Ping Jin and south to Cangshi Road. With criss-crossing rivers, abundant products and developed transportation, the special strategic position in this area has become one of the important areas that both the enemy and ourselves fought for during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period. It covers an area of about 60,000 square kilometers.
