matamata
Speaking of Matamata, it may be a bit strange, but speaking of Hobbits, it is really a place that fans are familiar with. This village is in Matamata. As the location of the beautiful Shire, there is really no pressure here. After all, the green fields in Kamai Mountains can be seen everywhere, and the beautiful environment itself exudes the serene atmosphere of Shire's isolation.
Tamata town is located in Waikato area, and the surrounding green pastures have been transformed into a paradise of Middle-earth, from which Hobbits were born. Although most of the villages have been demolished after the filming, the rest of Alexandria Farm can still satisfy the imagination of fans about Hobbit life. Familiar round arch, mill, double arch bridge, pocket hole where Gandalf and Bilbo meet again, etc. In the Green Dragon Inn, which is full of17th century amorous feelings, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful lakes and Hobbit villages on the mountain while tasting pure wine. After nightfall, enjoy the authentic Shire feast in the brightly lit inn, singing and dancing like a dwarf, which is endless fun.

Nielsen
Jens Hansen, a local shop in Nelson, attracts Lord of the Rings fans from all over the world to make a pilgrimage like a magnetic field, just because Jens Hansen, the owner, is a goldsmith who personally created 40 different rings for The Lord of the Rings's shooting.
Drive west from Nelson and drive past Takaka Mountain, and you will find the shooting place of Chet Forest. Here, the knight errant led the Hobbits into the hills east of Bray, trying to escape from the Black Knight.
But you need to take a helicopter to see where Saruman's Ring Messenger is hiding from the black crow. The pilot will show you around Tim Lei Deer-Mount Olympus and Owen Mountain. In the air, you can also have a bird's eye view of three national parks in this area-tasman sea, Alberta, Nelson Lake and Kahulanji.
Wellington
Victoria hill where Wellington is located is the most popular place. You can walk there from the city center. The Hobbit Forest in the film is located in the forest area of Victoria Mountain, where Hobbits escape from the attack of the Black Knight.
Starting from Wellington on the west coast, I drove to Elizabeth queens park near Palapalaum, where the film filmed the scene of the nazgul and the elephant in the Peirano Plain War.
Walking along the coast, you can reach the Vitaly Forest, where Frodo, Sam and Gollum walked after leaving faramir. To the north is the Waitali Forest, the OsGilleas Forest in the film, where Frodo, Sam and Smeagol left faramir.
Driving over mountains and entering Wailalapa is the peculiar Putongilua Peak, where Aragon, Legolas and Gimli are looking for the way to death.

Matutu Key Valley
Matukituki Valley is located in Aspelin National Park, surrounded by southern alps. It combines the scenery of glaciers and snow-capped mountains and has become one of the shooting places in Swindell, The Lord of the Rings. If you have the opportunity to come to this national park, you can choose a hiking route to experience it. Walking inside still feels like being in rivendell ~
South Australia and fjord national parks
The Fjord National Park created an epic background for the film The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
The Wyo River, which runs through Tianao and Manapuli, is transformed into the Anduin River in the film, and it is along this river that the Ring Messenger paddles south from Roslaurian. The towering peaks around Wyo River are in the south of Vendel, and the environment is harsh.
The Tacaro Highway, not far from Tian 'ao, is the location of France-Gong Lin in the film. Through the remote control camera shooting from a height, you can see the scene of Aragon passing through the forest.
Jianzhen
The beautiful Arrowhead Town and Greennoche are our favorite places. The beauty of New Zealand is fully reflected here in autumn, and the director turned it into a shooting place. The Arrow River in Captain Arrow Canyon was used to photograph the Brunan Ferry. Frodo, who was dying, rushed to rivendell and confronted the nazgul at the ferry.
In the woods near Nain Street in Aro Town, I filmed the scene that KanDoddeli Sia Turdoge was killed after cutting off Sauron's finger in order to get the ring.
Ge Lin Nuo qi townlet
In that year in The Lord of the Rings, not only the snow-capped mountains around the town of Greeno were used to shoot the misty mountains, but also the Rutbourne Trail next to the town was used to watch the Wizard Valley around Eisinger, and then the post-processing formed the gray-black tone in the film.
In fact, Greenohe is a sunny and picturesque place! Of course, there are also many locations of The Lord of the Rings in Paradise Town around Greenwich. If you go here, you can visit together. Gandalf defeated Mount Callas at Everett in Enslau.
Franz Joseph glacier
I believe that for many fans, the lighthouse on the White Mountain in The Lord of the Rings is one of many wonderful scenes in the film, and the White Mountain in this scene was shot in Franz Josef Glacier. As one of the most accessible glaciers in the world, this location can be followed by a tour guide on foot ~
Queenstown
Finally, write to the famous Queenstown, let me refuel first! Glaciers in urban valleys in Enslow have created many waterfalls, all of which fall directly from the huge rock surface. This is one of the most fantastic places in The Hobbit.
It is here that Bilbo and the Dwarves set out from rivendell to continue their journey. Ben Valley Trail in Enslow is a challenging four-hour hiking route starting from Lenoci. After hiking, you will stand at the top of the valley, overlooking the distant glaciers and spectacular scenery.
Adjacent to Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand and the largest ski resort in Wanaka-Cardrona. There are huge ski resorts, world-class ski resorts, multinational gourmet restaurants and all-round ski service facilities. More than 75% of the snowy terrain in Calderona is suitable for beginners and intermediate players, most of which are open and gentle slopes. The snowy road extending to the summit, from Lake Wanaka to Queenstown, has magnificent scenery, just like being on the top of the top snow-capped mountains in the southern hemisphere, which is unparalleled in the world! Tongariro national park,
Tongariro national park is located in the middle of the North Island. There are three volcanoes in the park, two of which were used as movie locations. The summit of Yi Shan on Nauru Island has been digitized and become part of the doomsday volcano in the movie. Walking along the mountain road in the park, you can see the Yi Shan in Nauru. You can ask about tourist routes and suggestions in the visitor center of the national park.
Mount Lupehu is the largest volcano in the national park, and it reflects magic kingdom in the film. Kapapa ski resort has a rock outcrop called "Medus Wall", where Frodo and Sam captured Gulum. The slopes and parking lots of ski resorts are places where orcs attack elves and humans in movies. During the filming, the actors and producers stayed at the Grand Castle Hotel, and so did you!
