For me, this once prosperous metropolis has inseparable love. 1995, I was admitted to a university in Wuhan, one of the four legendary stoves, and I entered this city for the first time in my life. Although I said goodbye in tears four years later, this warm city left me unforgettable memories.
Wu Hanyou Yangtze River Hanshui, extending in all directions by land and water since ancient times, can be described as the thoroughfare of nine provinces, with convenient transportation and developed. A famous street in Wu Hanyou is Hanzheng Street. When I first walked in in the 1990 s, I was shocked by the lively and noisy scene in front of me. Vendors and porters in a hurry shuttled through the crowd carrying big bags and small bags, and the whole street was packed. Shouts and shouts were mixed together, and people were buzzing. If you are not careful, you will be hit. Business is booming here, and trade is booming. It was also here that I first heard the word parallel imports.
Wuhan people are very smart, and there is a local saying: there are nine birds in the sky and Hubei people on the ground. More than 20 years ago, I came to Wuhan from the backward Inner Mongolia border region. At first, I was not used to it. All the shops and vendors here collect money to the nearest penny, and even a dime will not be erased. This may be different from the careless character of northerners. In fact, Wuhan people also have a hot side, such as street quarrels. They rarely provoke fights like northerners, but the quarrel in Wuhan dialect develops rapidly like rapid fire, and with loud voices, people feel thrilling. In fact, outsiders simply can't understand what they are saying.
Speaking of dialects, foreigners who have lived in Wuhan must do their homework and understand them carefully. Wuhan people are used to adding a "sa" at the end of statements, which is equivalent to "le" in Mandarin. It has no practical significance, just a tone. They called breakfast too early, shoes called children, and went to the streets to find women. What do you mean you don't have to get it, but you agree with others that you must get it ... these are just superficial.
When I first arrived in Wuhan more than 20 years ago, there were long trams on the street, and the fares were very cheap. In the evening, electric tricycles named "Numbness" gathered in the busy street corner one after another to wait for the work of pulling their feet, which is equivalent to the "three donkey jumps" in the north, and it is quite prosperous.
Wuhan people's nightlife is still rich, and the shopping malls and shops along the road are closed very late. Every night, the road next to the school becomes a food street. Various food stalls and special food stalls have been opened one after another, such as braised ribs lotus root soup, black dried fruit with red Chili sauce, steaming osmanthus jiaozi, oily barbecue and so on. These are all elements of Wuhan. The dining table of Wuhan people is never single. They can eat and cook.
Wuhan is a city full of fireworks. When it comes to eating, people naturally think of Regan Noodles. It's no use coming to Wuhan without eating Regan Noodles. The most people-friendly price and the most unique tongue tip will always miss the taste of Regan Noodles. I don't know why you can only eat the most authentic Regan Noodles in small restaurants or roadside stalls in the streets. Once eaten, you will fall in love for a lifetime. I'm afraid no other food is so popular. Regan Noodles has long been a symbol of Wuhan, attracting people from all over the world to find familiar memories.
1in the summer of 1998, the Yangtze River was flooded and the situation in Wuhan was critical. That summer vacation, our student party member participated in social practice activities organized by the school, visited the metallurgical corridor in eastern Hubei on foot, and supported Hope Primary School in poor villages. The sky seems to be leaking, and it often rains cats and dogs during the March. At that time, the information was relatively blocked, and only some news could be learned through TV. In the face of natural disasters, the army and the people of Qi Xin cooperated in rescue. We didn't know that the dam several meters high was washed up with a thick layer of silt until the school started. Although the levee was devastated, the whole city was safe and sound.
Wuhan is a heroic city, and the people are heroic people. I am particularly proud of living and studying there.
After several months of hard work, the epidemic situation in Wuhan has been fully and effectively controlled. From pressing the pause button to restarting the whole city, Wuhan is like a phoenix, which has experienced rebirth and is more vibrant.
