Descartes1March 3, 5961was born in a lawyer's family in Toulon, France. His mother died at the age of one, and he entered a Jesuit school at the age of eight. During eight years of traditional education, he found that some arguments in textbooks were subtle and vague, and sometimes even contradictory theories appeared. So he decided not to learn from books, but to seek advice from "the great book of the world" and began his journey of exploring truth.
16 17, when Descartes was stationed in the Netherlands, he successfully solved a publicly posted math problem in Dutch, which made him gain a high reputation in the math field and inspired him to continue to explore the truth. Since then, he has started his research career for more than 20 years.
