Chengyi expressway is an important traffic node in the southwest along the national "two horizontals and three verticals" development axis, and also an important southbound passage project out of the "South Gate" of Sichuan and the "bridgehead" of Tongjiang Dahai.
The project starts from the Ring Expressway in Chengdu Economic Zone, connects to the south line of Chengdu New Airport Expressway, passes through jianyang city, Meishan, Neijiang, Zigong and Yibin in Chengdu, and ends at Zhongfengsi Interchange in the west section of Yibin Transit Expressway, with a total length of about157km.
The roadbed is 34.5 meters wide, with six lanes in both directions and a design speed of120km. It is one of the widest and highest standards in expressway between Chengdu and other cities (states).
The Significance of expressway Construction from Chengdu to Yibin
Chengdu-Yibin expressway is one of the 16 radial expressway in expressway Network Planning of Sichuan Province (20 14-2030), and it is the most convenient communication channel between Chengdu Plain Economic Zone and South Sichuan Economic Zone.
It plays an important role in further improving the layout of Sichuan expressway network, improving traffic conditions along the line, enhancing the external radiation capacity of Chengdu comprehensive transportation hub, strengthening the close relationship between Chengdu Plain Economic Zone and South Sichuan Economic Zone, and promoting regional economic and social development.
After the completion of expressway in Chengdu Yibin, it will be the most convenient southbound passage from Chengdu Plain Economic Zone to South Sichuan Economic Zone, which will provide new kinetic energy for Sichuan to build a new regional development pattern of "one stem with many branches and five regions cooperating".
