Xiamen University of Technology Library, formerly known as Lujiang Vocational College Library, was founded in September of 198 1. At present, paper books1180,000 copies, electronic books1022,000 copies, newspapers 1644 copies, 1828 copies. The collection construction closely revolves around the needs of teaching and scientific research in the school, adopts the management mode of "full opening and large circulation", implements all open-shelf borrowing and fully implements automatic management to meet the borrowing needs of readers to the greatest extent. The library has opened subsystems such as interview, cataloging, circulation, newspapers and periodicals, and office work. It has a Chinese academic search platform for "Reading Show", Chinese databases such as China Journal Network, Wan Fang Data and Superstar Teacher Forum, and foreign database resources such as IDL, Springer, Wiley and EBSCO. Provide Xiamen Library with services such as book borrowing, reference consultation, document delivery, book borrowing and copying for all teachers and students. Readers can also search for information, download software, recommend online purchases and order media through the library homepage.
There are 32 full-time staff in the library, including 5 with senior titles, 6 with intermediate titles/kloc-0, over 70% with bachelor degree or above, and 2 with contract workers/kloc-0. Five departments and one room: reader service department, editorial department, technical department, information consulting department, Xiamen soft science department and office. The General Library of Jimei Campus was completed and put into use in 2007, with an area of 1.6 million square meters. There are seven basic stacks, foreign language reading rooms, newspaper reading rooms, electronic reading rooms, multimedia rooms, study rooms and research rooms, with more than 2,000 reading seats. Xiamen Soft Branch of the Library was established in 20 1 1, with an area of 2,000 square meters and a collection of nearly 65,438+10,000 books, providing book borrowing and newspaper reading services.
