What is the development trend of freight forwarding in Guangzhou?

The development prospect of international freight forwarding is worth looking forward to.

Freight forwarders found in relevant materials that as early as 2005, the former Ministry of Communications spent 4.2 billion yuan to build a high-grade waterway network in the Pearl River Delta. It is said that the high-grade waterway network has been basically completed. The capacity expansion construction of Xijiang shipping trunk line has also achieved remarkable results, and the 3000-ton seagoing vessel can go directly from Zhuhai to Zhaoqing; Guangzhou-Nanning 1000-ton waterway 85 1 km, and the 2000-ton waterway directly to Guigang is under construction. The capacity expansion project of Guiping second-line shiplock is advancing, which fundamentally changes the shipping face of the Pearl River, improves the navigation conditions in the middle and upper reaches and promotes the further development of the Pearl River shipping. At present, the Xijiang River Basin has initially formed a river-sea combined transport mode with building materials, containers, grain and coal as the mainstay, and the logistics system has been initially established, which has gradually promoted the economic and social development of the basin.

However, compared with highway and railway, there are still many problems in Xijiang waterway transportation. Yang Rungui, chairman of Zhuhai Port Group, said frankly that the investment in Xijiang waterway construction is insufficient, the waterway is blocked and the infrastructure construction is slow.

At present, the grade of Xijiang main channel is generally low, which has become a major bottleneck restricting the development of shipping. From Nanning to Wuzhou, the waterway between ports is mainly Class II (2000-ton ships) or Class III (1000-ton ships). For example, the 385 km waterway from Nanning to Guigang is still a third-class waterway, which can only pass ships of 1000 tons, which is far from meeting the needs of the development of water transport.

Sun Peiting, vice president of Dalian Maritime University, visited Xijiang River Basin with experts and professors from Dalian Maritime University last year, and found that the shipping and logistics industries in Xijiang River Basin are very backward, which is far from many domestic water systems. The water conservancy conditions in some waters are good, but the scale of the wharf is small, which stays in the initial stage of shipping and cannot form system operation.

In this regard, Weng Yi, assistant director of the Water Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, pointed out: "It is necessary to increase investment, fully implement the capacity expansion project of Xijiang route, improve navigation capacity and standards, build a high-grade shipping network, encourage the withdrawal of existing old ships, speed up the renovation of substandard ships, rationally integrate port and shipping resources, and promote the common development among regions, ports and shipping."

The development of ports is the inevitable result of the development of international economy, and the development of international freight forwarding companies also rises. Therefore, under such a policy opportunity, are we full of expectations for the development prospects of freight forwarding companies?
